Once we have the metadata captured in our centralized metadata repository, it takes just the touch of a button to build or update any of your Development, Test or Production Data Warehouse instances, and another touch of a button to run the operational schedule which has also been inferred from the metadata. You can be loading data within minutes of defining the requirements.
Why Automation?
Having delivered many Data Warehouse and BI implementations it became clear that 80% of the delivery activities are the same across all implementations. That is to say that there are standard architectures, a core set of activities that are repeated in every implementation, and similar processes followed, regardless of the scale or complexity of the implementation. Functionality : Obvious to say perhaps, but we designed it to deliver exactly what is needed, and not what is not. We wanted something that does what it says on the tin; end-to-end automation of a custom Data Warehouse and BI solution.
Simplicity : We wanted the solution to not only be industry standard, but also agile and simple enough that it is easy to adopt, change, maintain - whether by us or by you - and therefore allow it to grow as your requirements grow and change, and allow it to serve your needs over the long term.
Robustness : You don't want to be calling us all day long logging defects, and we don't want to be fixing them. We've put a lot of effort into making sure our solutions are not only robust, but also perform well.
